ABOUT US

Located in the heart of downtown Hanover, in close proximity to Dartmouth College—across the road from the Hopkins Center—our Gallery Store and studios offer you the opportunity to buy or make functional and decorative art.

The Hanover League has nurtured relationships with the community since opening our doors in 1952. For over 60 years, our gallery and crafts education program has brought generations of curiosity seekers, lifelong learners, artists and craft lovers together.

The Gallery Store and CraftStudies are run by a small team of people who have a wealth of experience in the arts, education and retail.

Along with our two boards (Gallery Store and CraftStudies), our instructors and craftspeople we strive for excellence in teaching and selling fine craft.

Deb Cardew

Gallery Store Manager
Deb moved from Cornwall, England to Cornish NH in 1997. With her she brought experience from helping to run a third generation tradition wood-fired pottery where she founded a residential holiday class program, established a new pottery shop and coffee shop. Deb loves to bake especially Cornish pasties and her passion for antique jewelry and accessories stems from weekends spent her at Portabello Road antiques market in the family stall.

Suzanne Jones

Director
Originally from Zimbabwe, Suzanne moved to the Upper Valley in 1999 via London and Vancouver, Canada. She brings a diverse business background to the day-to-day operations of CraftStudies. Having been a crafter from a young age—sewing her own clothes, knitting projects, and crocheting garments—Suzanne has now expanded her range to many other materials. She lives in Sharon, VT with her furniture-maker husband and son.
